Objective
Our movement building memo identified understanding the field as a critical foundation to acting as a field catalyst. Before investing in a CRM or behavior-change processes, we built a working prototype to show the power of shared data — and what becomes visible when we align on common definitions of engagement.
What we did
We combined roughly a dozen datasets and used fuzzy matching to standardize organization names across sources — currently about 50% through cleaning. We then bucketed organizations into engagement stages based on their relationship with Strada.
